Cost of construction is Rs. 3061.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Diameter = 17.5 m and width of the path(w) = 2 m

Radius of the circular pond (r) = \frac{17.5}{2}  = 8.75 \text{m}

Radius of the circular pond and path (R) = r + w = 8.75 + 2 = 10.75 m

Area of the path = Area of circular pond along with path - Area of the circular pond

                         = \pi \text{R}^{2} - \pi \text{r}^{2}

                         = \pi (\text{R}^{2} - \text{r}^{2} )

                          = 3.14 \text{x} ( 10.75^{2} - 8.75^{2}  )

                          = 3.14 \text{x} (115.56 - 76.56)\\= 3.14 \text{x} 38.99\\= 122.45 \text{m}^{2}

Cost of construction = 25 x 122.45 = Rs.3061.25
