a circular track has a circumference of 1570m with AB as one of its diameter. a scooterist moves from A to B along the circular path with a uniform speed of 5m/sec. Find his distance covered by scooterist and desplacement of the scooterist.

Answer:

Distance = 785 m

Displacement = 500 m

Explanation:

a) Distance from A to B equals half of circumference, therefore, distance covered  

equals:

d = ½ x 1570 = 785 m, Ans = 785 m

b) displacement equals length of diameter:

d = l /3.14 = 500 m
