A circus tent is cylindrical to a height of 4 m
and conical above it. If its diameter is 105 m
and its slant height is 80 m, calculate the total
area of canvas required. Also, find the total
cost of canvas used at 15 per metre if the
width is 1.5 m.(TSA of tent or canvas is 7920m^2. Just find the cost of canvas)

For cylinder,
Diameter is 105 m
then radius is 105/2m
Now height=4 m
For cone,
l=80 m and r= 105/2
Total surface area of the tent is the sum of lateral suface of cone and cylinder
=2πrh+πrl
=1320+13200
=14520m²
Width of canvas uaed = 1.5 m
Length of canvas = 14520/1.5 = 9680m
Therefore, total cost of canvas at the rate of rupees 15 per metre = 9680 × 15 = ₹145200
