so.,

Total area to be cemented=lateral suface area+area of the base

=2(l+b)h +l×b

=2(25+17) 8+25×17

=2×42×8+425

=672+425

=1097m sq

cost of cementing the inside of cistern

=1097×12

=12,948 rs
