The monthly Salary of twoo person are in the ratio 3:5. If each receives an increase of 5 3.200 in monthly salary, the new ratio is 13:21 . Find their original salary.
let's the original salary of 3x and 5x
Due to increased in salary the revised salaries are ₹(3x + 200) & ₹(5x + 200)
3x +200. 13
________ = _______
5x + 200. 21

21*3x = 63x and 21*200 = 4200
13*5x = 65x and 13*200 = 2600

63x + 4200 = 65x + 2600
63X - 65 X = 4200 - 2600
2X = 1600
x= 1600/2
x= 800

800*3 = 2400
800*5 = 4000

A:B=3x:5x

New salaries

3x+5%×3x=3x+3x/20=63x/20

5x+10%×5x=5x+x/2=11x/2

New ratios

(63x/20)×(2/11x)=126/220=63/110

Salary of A=3c and salary of B=5c.

After increase in the salary

Salary of A/salary of B = 3c(1+5℅) /5c(1+10℅)

=3c*21/20/5c*11/10 = 63c/20 *10/55c = 63c/110c

= 63:110.

Let A’s salary be 3x and B’s salary 5x. With the increase in their salaries, A gets 3x*1.05 = 3.15x and B gets 5x*1.1 =5.5x.
