a class consists of 50 students out of which 30 are girls The mean marks scored by girls in a test is 73 out of 100 and that of boys is 71 determine the mean score of the whole class

73 = x /30

therefore x = 2790

same for the boys

total score = 20 * 71 = 1420

therefore the total score of the class = 1420 + 2790 = 4210

the mean of the class = 4210/50 =84.5
