A class of 50 student divided into two groups. one group has eight less than the other. how many are in each group​

second group=x-8

2x-8=50

2x=50+8

2x=58

x=58/2

x=29

first group=29

second group=29-8=21

Hi, here is ur answer:

Total=50

Let group1=x

Then Group2=x-8

So, x+x-8=50

=> 2x=58

so x=29

CHECK:

x+x-8=50

29+(29-8)=50

29+21=50

50=50

Therfore my answer is correct
