ANSWER

Dimensions of the classroom :-

Length (long) = 6.8m

Breadth (wide) = 3.5m

Height = 270cm = 2.7m

Thus it's clear that it's a cuboid.

Now we've to find the curved surface area of the wall + the ceiling to find the total cost.

CSA of a cuboid = 2h(l + b)

Area of the ceiling = l × b (since it's rectangular)

Total area needed to be plastered = 2h(l + b) + lb

= 2 × 2.7 (6.8 + 3.5) + (6.8 × 3.5)

= (5.4 × 10.3) + 23.8

:-= 55.62 + 23.8

= 79.42m²

Total cost @ rupees 12 m² = 12 × 79.42

= Rupees 953.04

Hence, the total cost of plastering the four walls and the ceiling is Rs 953.04

Answer:

length = 6.8 m

breadth= 3.5m

270cm hight = 2.7m

area= area of 4 walls + area of ceiling

2h ( l+b ) + lb

2.7 ( 6.8+3.8) + 6.8×3.5

2×2.7(10.3)+23.8

79.42m²

cost is 1m² =12 rupes

cost of 79.42m²= 79.42× 12

953.04 rupes
