the bullet is so small and the velocity of the bullet is so fast that it only stops when it hits the object.but tthe stone is relatively big.and not as fast as the bullet.

but it's told that the size of both bullet and stone is same

this is due to the impulse factor ...bullet has a very low impulse due to less time of contact .on the other hand stone has relatively a large impulse factor ..the large momentum of bullet is due to its great velocity and the momentum gained by stone is due to its mass..when bullet strikes it is the great speed that the time of contact is so small that it impart its momentum on on a small area hence making a clear hole ..whereas in case of stone time of contact is relatively large that makes it possible for stone to impart momentum to whole window pane thus stone shatters the glass window pane
in simpler words...the bullet has a very high velocity. .momentum =mass ×velocity .velocity is inversely proportional to time ..i bullet case due to very high velocity the time of contact is very very small therefore force is experienced by a small part only making a clear hole there and other window pane lefts undisturbed ...whereas the stone donot have high velocity so time of contact is relatively higher ..therefore the force is experienced by full window thus it shatters down
