We know, box is in cuboid shape.
Given, [box is opened from one end]
External Dimensions (56 cm x 39 cm x 30 cm)
Thickness of the wood = 3cm
∴Internal dimensions = 50 cm x 33 cm x 27 cm[30-3]
The capacity of box = lbh
= 50 x 33 x 27
= 44550 cm³
Volume of wood = external volume - internal volume
= [(50 x 33 x 30) - (50 x 33 x 27)]
= [65520-44550]
= 20970 cm³
