thickness = 2cm
volume of external cube = 20³
= 8000cm³
volume of internal cube = (20-2(2))³
= 16³
= 4096cm³
then volume of wood used = volume of external-volume of internal cube
= 8000-4096
= 3904cm³
volume of air trapped = volume of internal cube
= 16³
= 4096cm³
