a closed metallic cylinder has its base diameter 56cm and it is 2.25m high. find the cost of the metal used to make it if it costs Rs80 per square meter.

Given: Diameter= 56 cm = 0.56m
Radius(r) = d/2 =0.56/2= 7/25
height= 2.25 m
Then substitute the values of r,d&h in the formula for area of cylinder i.e.
22/7*r*r*h
Then u will get the area of the cylinder.
Rate given = 80 metres for 1 square meter
Hence for the area which you have calculated , cost= 80*area
