Rate = rs 25 per m

total length of cloth = 40

total cost price of cloth = 40×25 = 1000 rs

profit = 200

selling price = 1000+200 = 1200 rs

rate = selling price/ total length of cloth

= 1200/40 = 30 rs per meter.

He should sell at rate Rs.30 per meter

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost price of 1 m cloth = Rs.25

Cost price of 40 m cloth = 25 \times 40 =1000

Profit = 200

SP = CP+Profit

SP = 1000+200

SP = 1200

So, SP of 40 m cloth = Rs.1200

Sp of 1 m cloth = \frac{1200}{40}=30

So, He should sell at rate Rs.30 per meter
