The Society of the Friends of the Constitution, after 1792 renamed Society of the Jacobins, Friends of Freedom and Equality, commonly known as the Jacobin Club or simply the Jacobin became the most influential political club during the French Revolution of 1789. Answer:

Jacobin Club

Explanation:

Louis XVI who was the king of France before French revolution divided France into estates. Clergy, Nobility and third estate. Clergy was the church officials. Nobility refers to the king and his family and third estate was the remaining people.

The third estate should pay the taxes meanwhile the two estates enjoyed without paying the taxes. Knowing this discrimination towards them the third estate people started demanding and formed clubs.

One these clubs was Jacobin club. They consisted of common people including artisans, watchmakers. bakers etc. Maximilian Robespierre was the leader of Jacobin club during reign of terror. Over time, the Jacobin club gained popularity among the common people and was able to overthrow the monarchy.
