A coach of a cricket team decides to buy cricket bats and cricket balls for a tournament. He buys 3 bats and 6 balls for Rs.3900. Later he buys one more bat and 3 more balls for Rs.1300. Represent the situation algebraically to find the number of bats and balls purchased
a) 3x + 6y = 3900 ; x + 3y = 1300
b)9x = 3900 ; 4y = 1300
c)6x+3y = 3900 ; x + 3y = 1300
d)3x + 6y = 3900 ; 3(x+1) + 6(y+3) = 1300

a) 3x + 6y = 3900 ; x + 3y = 1300

Step-by-step explanation:

now equation (i) can be written as

↠ 3(1300−3y)+6y=3900

↠ 3900−9y+6y=3900

↠ ∴y=0

Ans:- x=1300
