The cockroach riding in the merry go rides must have the radial acceleration and if the angular velocity decrease than the angular acceleration of the cockroach is also decreases.

Acc to the formulae of angular acceleration is

\alpha = \frac{dw}{dt}

The unit of angular acceleration is \frac{radian}{s^{2}}

where dω = is the change in angular velocity and

dt = the change in time.

If ω increases, then α is positive. If ω decreases, then α

is negative.

the angular acceleration is directly proportion to the the angular velocity.

here the angular acceleration is converted to the radial acceleration.

there is no translatory acceleration .

therefore the above formulae shows that the relationship between the angular acceleration and  the angular velocity.
