Given:

A coil of 100 turns is lying in a magnetic field of 1T as shown in the figure. A current of 1A is flowing in this coil.

To find:

Torque acting on the coil.

Calculation:

Area of coil = 0.2 × 0.1 = 0.02 m².

So, let magnetic moment of coil be M ;

 \therefore \: M =n\times i \times area

 =  >  \: M = 100\times1\times0.02

 =  >  \: M = 2 \: amp  \: {m}^{2}

So, magnetic torque be \tau.

 \therefore \:  \tau = B \times M \times  \sin( {90}^{ \circ} )

 =  >  \:  \tau = B \times M \times  1

 =  >  \:  \tau = 1 \times( 2 )

 =  >  \:  \tau =2 \: N/m

So, final answer is:

 \boxed{ \large{ \bold{ \underline{ \:  \tau =2 \: N/m}}}}
