When a coin is tossed ,possible events are Tails, Heads.

There is no chance of getting both heads and tail at a time .So this event is impossible.

Probability = Number of favourable events / Total events.

The probability of impossible event = 0

The probability of getting both head and tail = 0/2 = 0 .

1.

Possible outcomes= 2 (Head, Tail)

Favourable outcomes= 1 (Head)

Let P be the probability of getting a head

P(Head)= Favourable outcomes/Possible outcomes

P(Head)= 1/2

Therefore the probability of getting head is 1/2.

2.

Possible outcomes= 2 (Head, Tail)

Favourable outcomes= 1(Tail)

P(Tail)= Favourable outcomes/Possible outcomes

P(Tail)= 1/2

Therefore the probability of getting tail is 1/2.

Hope it helps!
