Probability : It means possibility of occurence of any particular event . It may range from 0 to 1 .

• It is unit-less quantity.

• In this question, we would simply find the number of favorable outcomes and then divide it by the total number of outcomes so as to get the answer.

• We know that, when a coin is tossed, we can get only two results that are Heads or Tails .

 \\

» It is given that, the coin is tossed 80 times so,

\dashrightarrow Total Outcomes = 80

» The total outcomes would remain the same for both the cases.

» The formula for finding the probability of any event is :

\quad\quad\quad\boxed{\sf{P_{\:(event) }=\dfrac{Favorable\:Outcomes}{Total\:Outcomes}}}

 \\

Probability of getting Heads :

\\

  • Favorable Outcomes = 38

\quad\quad\quad \colon \rightarrow \sf \: Probability _{ \: (Heads)} =  \cancel \dfrac{38}{80}

\\

 \quad \quad \quad  \colon \rightarrow  \underline{ \boxed{ \rm{ \pink{Probability _{ \: (Heads)} =  \red{   \bf\frac{19}{40}}}}} } \\

 \\

Probability of getting Tails :

\\

  • Favorable Outcomes = 80 - 38 = 42

\quad\quad\quad \colon \rightarrow \sf \: Probability _{ \: (Tails)} = \cancel  \dfrac{42}{80}

\\

 \quad \quad \quad  \colon  \rightarrow \underline{ \boxed{ \rm{ \red{Probability _{ \: (Tails)} =   \pink{ \bf\frac{21}{40}}}}} }

 \\
