Given,

Total outcomes = 100

Number of outcomes (of getting head) = 64

To find,

The probability of getting a tail

Solution,

A coin is tossed hundred times and the head appears 64 times.

Probability can be defined as the ratio of the number of favourable outcomes to the total number of outcomes of an event.

Probability of an Event = Favorable Outcomes/Total Outcomes

Favourable outcomes = Total outcomes - Number of outcomes of getting head

Favourable outcomes = 100-64

Favourable outcomes= 36

Now,

Putting the values in the formula:

Probability of an event = 36/100

Probability of an event = 9/25

Hence, the probability of getting a tail is 9/25.
