Total tossed = 1000 times.
Head = 455 times.
Tail = 545 times.

Let the E for head event.

P (E) = no. of heads / total trials
= 455/1000 = 0.455.

Let the E1 for tail event.

P (E1) = no. of tails/total trial
= 545/1000 = 0.545.

\bigstar Given:

  • Total number of trials = 1000 times
  • Number of trials in which the head happens = 455 times
  • Number of trials in which the tail happens = 545 times

\bigstar To Find:

  • Compute the probability of head.
  • Compute the probability of tail.

\bigstar Solution:

Let us consider, event of getting head and event of getting tail be E and F respectively.

Number of favorable outcome = Number of trials in which the E happens = 455

Probability of Head:

∴ Probability of E  = \frac{Number \: of \: favorable \: outcome}{Total\: number\: of\: trials}

P(E)  =\frac{455}{1000} = \boxed{\underline{\underline{0.455}}}

In the same way,

Probability of Tail:

Number of favorable outcome = Number of trials in which the F happens = 545

Probability of the event getting a tail, P(F)  = \frac{545}{1000} = \boxed{\underline{\underline{0.545}}}

Therefore, the probability of head is 0.455 and tail is 0.545.
