A combination consists of three resistors in series. Four similar sets are connected in parallel. If the resistance of each resistor is 2 ohm, find the resistance of the combination.

For diagram,
Refer to the attachment above.

So,
Reciprocal of Resistance of combination
 =  \frac{1}{R1 +R2 +R3} + \frac{1}{R4 +R5 +R6} + \frac{1}{R7 +R8 +R9}
As R1 = R2=R3=R4=R5=R6=R7=R8=R9=2ohm
 =  >  \frac{1}{R}
 = (\frac{1}{R1 +R2 +R3}) \times 3 \\  =  (\frac{1}{2 + 2 + 2}) \times 3 \\  =  \frac{1}{6} \times 3 \\  =  \frac{1}{2}ohm.

So,
 =  >R = 2ohm.
