the sum of all the salary=3850*800=3080000

sum of the wrong salary=2870+3645

=6515

the sum of actual salary=2780+3654=6434

it means that we were adding a wrong no but the correct no difference is=6515-6434=81

so the actual sum of the salary was=3080000-81=3079919

.

.

so correct mean=3079919/800=3849.89875

Answer:

Corrected Mean= 3849.89

Explanation:

Incorrect ∑x= 3850 x 800= 30,80,000

Correct ∑x= (Incorrect ∑x- Incorrect value+ Correct Value)/ N

                 = 30,80,000- (2870+ 3645) + (2780+ 3654)

                 = \frac{30,80,000- 6515+ 6434}{800}

                 = 3849.89

Hope it helps :)
