Given :- A company manager spent 1/3 of his money on salaries of 1/4 of the remainder on maintenance of his company`s vehicles and the rest 50,000 niara was his profit .

To Find :- How much was his total money ?

Answer :-

Let us assume that, the total money of company manager was x niara .

so,

→ Spent on salaries = (1/3) of x = (x/3) niara .

then,

→ Left money = x - (x/3) = (2x/3) niara .

now,

→ spent on maintenance of his company`s vehicles = (1/4) of remaining = (1/4) of (2x/3) = (x/6) naira .

then,

→ Left money = (2x/3) - (x/6) = (4x - x)/6 = (3x/6) = (x/2) naira .

therefore,

→ (x/2) = 50000

→ x = 50000 * 2

→ x = 1,00,000 naira (Ans.)
