A company packages its milk powder in cylindrical container whose base diameter is 21 cm and height is 27 cm . A label is placed around the container leaving a margin of 2 cm from the top and the bottom of the cylinder . What is the area of the label

here's ur answer...

given the diameter is 21cm

therefore radius is 21/2cm

height of the cylindrical container is 27cm

if the label is placed by leaving margin of 2cm from the top and base then the height of the label will be=27-(2+2)

=27-4

=23cm

we know that CSA of cylinder=2πrh

=2×22/7×21/2×23

=2×11×3×23

=1518cm²

hence the area of the label is 1518cm².
