If the nth term of an AP is 5-3n,find its common difference

Hi ,

It is given that ,

nth term of an A.P = 5 - 3n

tn = 5 - 3n

t1 = 5 - 3 × 1 = 2

t2 = 5 - 3 × 2 = -1

t3 = 5 - 3 × 3 = - 4

Therefore ,

Common difference = t2 - t1

d = - 1 - 2

d = -3
