A company produces three products, each of which must be processed three different
departments. The department A has the weekly capacities of three products are 18.5, 20.5, 24.5
and B department has 27, 29, 35 and C department has 26, 39.52, 29. The total available hours
of Department of A has 500, B has 366 and C has 288 for coming month. The management is
interested to utilize all available hours. Not only management will use all available hours, but
also management wants to increase seventy three percent available hours in total hours due to
shortage of time.
Required:
i. Formulate the system of equations.
ii. Solve the combinations of the three products that would consume the weekly labor
availability.
iii. Prove the results and also
iv. Give analysis of the results.
