Some compounds that have both ionic as well as covalent bonds generally contain polyatomic anions ionically bonded with a metal cation.
eg: MgSO₄; where the bond between Mg²⁺ and SO₄²⁻ is ionic & the bond between sulphur and oxygen present in the SO₄²⁻ anion is covalent.
→Some other examples are NaNO₃, BaCO₃, K₂CO₃, NaHCO₃, RbHSO₄, Cu(NO₃)₂, FeCO₃, ZnSO₄, Na₃PO₄, etc.
