P = 1/F

Conversion in metre = 0.5 m

P = 1/0.5 = 2 dioptre

Answer:

As we consider power and focal length, then they are inverse of each other,

power = 1/ focal length

focal length = 1/ power

we have given focal length of concave lens = 50 cm

=50 X(10^(-2)=0.5m

power of concave lens = 1/0.5

= 1 / 0.5

= 2

= 2 dioptre

\boxed{\textbf{\large{2 dioptre}}}
