a concave lens has focal length of 20cm at what distance should the object from the lens be placed so that it forms of 10 cm of lens also find the magnification of lence

1/u=1/f - 1/v

f= -20cm. v= -10cm

1/-20 - 1/-10 = 1/-20 + 1/10

= -20+10÷ -200

1/u = -10 ÷ -200 = 1 ÷ 20

u = 20cm

m= -v/u

= - (-10) ÷ 20

= 10 ÷ 20

m = 1/2 = 0.5cm
