Since, the image produced is real and of same size as that of object .so, the magnification produced will be -1
Let the object be placed at a distance u
m= -v/u
-1= -v/-u
v= -u
So, from mirror formula-
1/f= 1/v+ 1/u
1/f=-1/u+ 1/u
1/f= 0
f= infinity
As the image is of the same size as of the object .So, the object should be placed at centre of curvature that is at 2f
So, the object must be placed at infinity.
