When the water film is absent in the leaf then particular leaf cannot live for a longer time as it dries up instantly.

Stomata are quite an important as nose for a human. Plants face a lot of problems without it.

Plants respire so CO2 required for its metabolism so cycles will stop leading death of particular plant.
