Given :

object distance=u= - 30cm

Radius of curvature = R= - 40cm

f= - 40/2 = - 20cm

Image distance =v?

From mirror equation :

1/f=/1v+1/u

1/v= 1/f- 1/u

1/v= - 1/20 +1/30

=-3+2/60

=-1/60

v= - 60cms

So the final image is produced at a distance of 60cm in front of mirror.
