Real Image is inverted,So magnification is negative.

Thus,

 m =  - 3 =  \frac{image \: size}{object \: size}

 \frac{hi}{ho}  =  \frac{ - v}{u}

[Where v = image distance and u = object distance]

\:  - 3 =  \frac{ - v}{ - 10} </p><p>

 - 3 =  \frac{v}{10}

Image Distance(v) = -30cm
