A conductor of length l' is connected to a

d.C. Source of emf '. If this conductor is replaced by another conductor of some material and same area of cross-section but of length 3l', how will the drift velocity change?

Drift velocity does not depend upon the length of the conductor.

Since, V = -eEt/m

Where t = relaxation time

m = mass

E = Electric Field

e = Charge of electron

Hence, it will not change.
