A cone has a circular base of radius 15cm.Given that the total
Surface area of the cone is 1000 cm, find it's slant height.

radius of the circular base of the cone,r=15 cm

total surface area = curved surface area of the cone + area of the circular                        base

1000 cm^2=pi*r*l + pi*r*r                        (l=slant height)

1000=pi*r(l+r)

1000=3.142*15(l+15)

1000/(3.142*15)=l+15

21.22=l+15

Therefore , l(slant height)=6.22 cm
