A cone of height 15cm and diameter 7cm is mounted on a hemisphere of same diameter. Determine the volume of the solid thus formed

Solution:-
Given :
Height of cone = 15 cm
Diameter of cone = 7 cm or Radius = 3.5 cm
Diameter of the hemisphere = 7 cm or Radius = 3. 5 cm
Volume of the cone = 1/3*π*r²*h
Volume of the hemisphere = 2/3*π*r³
Therefore, the volume of the solid thus formed = Volume of the cone + Volume of the hemisphere.
= (1/3*22/7*3.5*3.5*15) + (2/3*22/7*3.5*3.5*3.5)
= (4042.5/21) + (1886.5/21)
= 192.5 + 89.33
Total volume = 282.33 cm³
