Hiii friend,

Height of the conical tent (H)= 10 m

Radius of the conical tent (R) = 24 m

Slant Height (L) = ✓ (H)² + (R)² = ✓(10)² + (24)² = ✓100+576 = ✓676 = 26 m

Canvas required to make the tent = CSA of tent= πRL

=> 22/7 × 24 × 26 = 22×24×26/7 = 13728/7

=> 1961.14 m³.

Cost of 1 m² of canvas = Rs 70

Therefore,

Cost of 1961.14 m² CANVAS = 70 × 1961.14 = Rs 137279.8

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU..... :-)

Hello dear,

____________

Let ABC be a conical tent.

Height (h) of conical tent = 10 m

Radius (r) of conical tent = 24 m

Let the slant height of the tent be l.

In ΔABO,

AB2 = AO2 + BO2

l2 = h2 + r2

= (10 m)2 + (24 m)2

= 676 m2

∴ l = 26 m

Therefore, the slant height of the tent is 26 m.

CSA of tent = πrl

 \frac{22}{7} \times 24 \times 26 = 1961.14 \: {m}^{2}

Cost of 1 m2 canvas = Rs 70

Cost of  1961.14 m^2 canvas = Rs. 70 × 1961.14 = Rs. 137279.8

= Rs 137280

Therefore, the cost of the canvas required to make such a tent is

Rs 137280.
