A conical vessel, with base radius 5 cm and height 24 cm, is full of water. This water is emptied into a cylindrical vessel of base radius 10 cm. Find the height to which the water will rise in the cylindrical vessel. (use p5 22 )

Given,

Cone :-

Radius = 5cm

Height = 24cm

Cylinder:-

Radius = 10cm

Now, if water is emptied from Cone to Cylinder

Then,

Volume of Cone = Volume of cylinder

1/3 ∏ {r^2 h}= ∏ {R^2 H}

-» 1/3 {5^2 * 24} = {10^2 * H}

-» 1/3 * 25 * 24 = 100 * H

-» 8 = 4 * H

-» H = 2cm

The height of cylinder is 2cm.
