Initial volume = 5L

Initial temperature = 25°C

Final temperature = 35°C

We have to find final volume of gas.

Charle's law : Pressure remaining constant, the volume of a fixed mass of a gas is directly proportional to its absolutr temperature. (V ∝ T)

  • V/T = V'/T' (at constant P)

⇒ V/T = V'/T'

⇒ 5/(25+273) = V'/(35+273)

⇒ 5/298 = V'/308

⇒ V' = 308 × 5/298

V' = 5.16L
