Step-by-step explanation:

A container open at the top,is in the form of frustum of a cone of height 24cm with radii of its lower and circular ends as 8 cm and 20cm. Thus the volume of the frustum is 15674.88 cm³ . Now convert 15674.88 cm³ into litres .

★This question is not at all tough question. One of the easiest question. For solving this question you should be strong in formulas..

★Understanding the question thoroughly, will help you to give better answers for the question..

Question:

A container open at the top is in tthe form of a frustrum of acone of height 16cm with radii of its lower and upper ends are 8cm and 20cm respectively find the cost of milk which can completly fill a container at a rate of rupees 40 per litre.

Solution:

Given:

R = 20 cm ( Biggest radii in the figure.

So we taken as ' R ' )

h = 16 cm

r = 8 cm ( Smallest radii in the figure)

WE KNOW THAT:

Volume of frustrum = ⅓ πrh (R²+r²+Rr)

 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 16( {20}^{2}  +  {8}^{2} + (20 \times 8))

 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 16(400 + 64 + 160)

 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 16 \times 624

 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 16 \times 624

By Cancelling 3 and 624, we get:

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 16 \times 208

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 1248

 =  \frac{73216}{7}

 = 10459.43

But this is not the required answer.

★The one basic formula is going to join in this question.

★In the question they asked to find the cost of milk which can completly fill a container at a rate of rupees 40 per litre.

So,

We know that:

1 Litre = 1000 cu³

10459.43 = ? (x). {cross multiply}

x =  \frac{10459.43 }{1000}  \times 40

 = 418.36
