( According to question here given )
A contract on construction job specifies a penalty for delay of completion beyond a
certain date as follows:
1st day :- ₹ 200
2nd day :- ₹ 250
3rd day :- ₹ 300
for succeeding day :- ₹ 50
The contractor delayed the work by 30 days.
( SOLUTION ) :-
【1 ans】 :-
here , it makes an AP ( arithmetic progression)
200, 250, 300.
now, we can say that
a = 200, d = 50 and n=30
we can find the penalty by using the sum of 30 terms.
Now, by using the formula
S = n / 2 [ 2a + ( n - 1 ) d ]
= 30 /2 ( 2 × 200 + 29 × 50 )
= 15 ( 400 + 1450 )
= 15× 1850
= ₹ 27750
therefore , The contractor has to pay the penalty of Rs 27750 if the work is delayed by 30 days.
【 2 ans】 :-
The values that the contractor needs to complete the work are :-
1) Hard work
2) discipline and dedication.
