Actually, I don't support this method of cooking rice.
Myth : It is believed that straining out
excess water from cooked
rice reduces calories.
But actually, truth is that starch vitamin and mineral content is lost by following this method.
So it would be better to avoid this method.

It is good and bad. If we strain the water from rice before cooking, then the germs and the dirts go away. But if you strain, the minerals and nutrients of the rice goes away. So it is both good and bad.
