Question:-

A contractor employed 210 men to be built a stadium in 60 days if after 12 days 70 additional men joined the work in how many days would the work finish.

Solution:-

a) A contractor employed 210 men to be built a stadium in 60 days.

b) After 12 days 70 additional men joined.

{ According to ( a ) & ( b ) }

Reamaining days of work of 210 employee after 12 day :-

--› 60 days - 12 days = 48 days

--› 210 men's = finish their work in 48 days

{ From ( a ) & ( b ) }

We know 70 additional men joined to 210 men to built stadium.

--› 280 men's = let finish their work in x day's

Now, To find day's ( x ) for finishing their work we take product of 280 men's and 48 day's with respect to 280 men's

{ \sf{  \purple{\dashrightarrow}{x \:  =  \frac{210  \times 48}{280} }}}

{ \sf{  \purple{\dashrightarrow}{x \:  =  \frac{10080}{280} }}}

{ \sf{  \purple{\dashrightarrow}{x \:  =36  \: days}}}

Hence they need 36 day's to finish their work.
