The work is of 40*25 working day = 1000 working day.
In 8 days 8*40 =320 working day’s work is done. Left =1000–320=680 working day's work.
From 9 the day 40–6=34 people are working.
680÷34=20 days will take to finish the work.
All the work will finish in 20+8= 28 days .
