a contractor want to set up a slide for the children to play in the park he wants to set it up at the height of 2 m and by making an angle of 30° with the ground.what should be the length of the slide?

Consider a triangle ABC where ∠ B =  90^{0} and AC is the hypotenuse.

The slide is represented by AC and the angle made by it is represented by ∠BCA.

Now, in ΔABC,  θ=  30^{0}

So,

sin 30 =  \frac{AB}{AC}

 \frac{1}{2} =  \frac{2}{AC}

or, AC = 4m.

∴ Length of slide = 4m.
