negative sentence is the opposite of an affirmative (positive sentence) and expresses an opposing idea. It contains a negative word like 'no', 'not', 'never' etc along with the main verb or words like 'nobody', 'no one', etc. An affirmative (or positive) sentence does not contain any such negative word.

When we change a negative sentence by removing the negative word, we must take care that the verb is modified by using a word opposite in meaning.
