Let H’ = Height of object
H= Height of image.
Then , H = 2 H’
M ( magnification ) = -V / U ….. (1.)
Also, M = H / H’ ….. (2.)
Combining 1 and 2
- V / U = 2H’ / H’
- V / U = 2
U = - V / 2
The maginificaltion of lens is not -v/u it is v/u
