A convex lens of focal length 10 cm forms a virtual image of an object at 30 cm from the lens. find the magnification.​

Let H’ = Height of object

H= Height of image.

Then , H = 2 H’

M ( magnification ) = -V / U ….. (1.)

Also, M = H / H’ ….. (2.)

Combining 1 and 2

- V / U = 2H’ / H’

- V / U = 2

U = - V / 2
