- Magnified , virtual and erect image
- Real image
Position of the object in such cases:
1st case:
- In order to get a virtual , magnified , erect image ; the object has to be placed on the Principle Axis at a distance lesser that the focal length of the lens.
- This means that the object has to be placed between focus and optical centre of lens.
- In that case : u < f
2nd case:
- Apart from the first case , in all positions , a convex lens produces real and inverted images.
