therefore focal length = -3/2m
= 1.5 m
object distance u = 5m
image distance v =?
we know,
 \frac{1}{v}  +  \frac{1}{u}  =  \frac{1}{f}  \\  \frac{1}{v}  +  \frac{1}{ - 5}  =  \frac{1}{1.5}  \\  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{ - 1.5}  -  \frac{1}{ - 5}  \\  \frac{1}{v}  =  - 59 - (1.5) \div 7.5 \\  \frac{1}{v}  =   \frac{ - 6.5}{7.5}  \\ v =  \frac{7.5}{ - 6.5}  \\ v =  - 1.15 \\
